Long and firm, just like we like it
Joe’s long slim cayenne pepper is a very cool cayenne pepper variety that every gardener should grow at least once. The pepper was originally from Calabria, Italy and eventually made it to Toronto, Canada. Joe Sestito in Troy, New York eventually ended up with the seeds and became the pepper’s namesake. It was added to Seed Savers Exchange in 1996 by Dr. Carolyn Male.
