Nanner Jammer – Sneaky Spicy Banana Pepper

What is the Nanner Jammer Pepper

Nanner Jammer is the name given to a banana pepper hybrid that was found by PhishIsMyChurch in Wisconsin. He bought a few banana pepper plants from a big box store, and one of them ended up with a different shape, a different flavor, and a decent kick!

The plant grows 2-3 feet tall and puts on dozens of 4 to 6 inch long peppers that are about an inch across at the top. The curved and pointy tipped peppers ripen from a light green color to a brilliant red. They are an early producer, with ripe peppers on the plant within 60 days of transplant to the garden.

The fruit have a mild heat, about the same as a jalapeno pepper. The flavor is an instant sweetness with a bit of floral and citrus notes as you chew. Very crunchy and juicy, these are an excellent pepper for almost any use. Great eaten fresh, great on pizza and pasta, great on sandwiches, great in salsa, or dehydrated for some mild chili flakes.

Nanner Jammer Pepper is one I will definitely grow again and I would highly recommend you give it a try too! Watch my video review here: https://youtu.be/Ug-zVwJM0s8?sub_confirmation=1
