Letter G of the Alphabet of Heat
Long time “king of the heat”, the ghost pepper is not for the faint of heart! Blistering hot with an earthy flavor that pairs well with hot lava and rocket engine exhaust.
Pepper Facts:
Species: Capsicum Chinense
Origin: India
Heat: 1,000,000+ SHU
Plant: 3-5 feet tall, bushy
Fruit: 3-5 inch long, bumpy fruit that ripen to bright red
tasting notes:
An earthy and slightly bitter flavor upfront, with nearly immediate intense level of heat. Floral flavors balance out the earthy notes and make this a great chili for use in hot sauce. Slight hints of fruitiness in some examples, similar to berries.
