Letter F of the Alphabet of Heat
This pepper is not only beautiful, but it tastes great and has an amazing history rooted in African-American culture. Originating centuries ago in the African-American community, it was virtually lost for generations until Horace Pippen planted seeds he had and revived this beautiful pepper.
Characterized by gorgeously variegated foliage and peppers, greens and whites in splotches on the leaves and stripes on the fruit. As the fruits ripen to red, those stripes mostly fade away.
