Elephant Pepper

Elephant Pepper

Letter E of the Alphabet of Heat

A very cool looking, lower heat pepper that grows to 6-10 inch long fruits covered in beautiful corking. That corking is where it gets its name!

Pepper Facts:

Species: Capsicum Anuum
Origin: Kosovo
Heat: 500 – 2,000 SHU
Plant Size: 2 – 5 feet
Fruit: 5-10 inch long, heavily corked

tasting notes:

Fantastic texture with the heavily corked skin, nice thick fleshy walls that provide a little crunch but not overly snappy. Sweet flavor, very little bitterness or earthy flavors. Hints of pear flavors as you chew, and a little bit of a grain flavored undertone on the finish.
