Cheiro de Norte

Cheiro de Norte

Letter C of the Alphabet of Heat

This incredible pepper from Brazil is definitely one of the best tasting I have ever had. This is a capsicum chinense but its not a tongue scorcher! It has a typical flavor you expect from a super hot type pepper, but a much milder burn that is flat and pleasant. Check out the full review in the video!

Pepper Facts:

Species: Capsicum Chinense
Origin: Brazil
Heat: ~15,000 SHU
Plant Size: 2-5ft tall, bushy
Fruit: 2-3 inch long tear drop, peach to orange in color

tasting notes:

A rather mild heat to this capsicum chinense pepper, with a lightly floral taste. A strong mellow sweetness, that has tropical overtones and as you swallow becomes more pronounced. Great crunch and texture, excellent for using fresh in salads or on sandwiches.
